Kapé Paris

Whether you want to sit for a coffee or try some yummy Filipino specialties, the Filipino coffee shop, Kapé, in Paris, France is a great cafe to visit!

Kape Paris

Located near the Oberkampf Metro station, Kapé is open on Wednesday to Friday and on the weekend. Kapé, which means "Coffee" in Tagalog (Filipino), is a lovely spot for a coffee break!

The cafe's beautiful interior is a bright and open space, where you can choose to sit by the windows or on the 'share' table in the middle of the room.

Not enough time to sit for your coffee break? Takeaway is also available at Kapé and everything is packed with care in takeaway boxes. Bring your Filipino snacks with you to sit at a park or to munch on your way.

You can buy some Filipino sauces and other Filipino snacks at the cafe as well.

In addition to classic coffee drinks, the Filipino coffee shop also has an Ube latte. Ube or purple yam, has a purple hue and is becoming a popular flavor for different desserts. There's also an Ube crinkle cookie on the menu. The Ube cookie had a very subtle Ube flavor and was nice and soft. The Ube latte paired nicely with the Ube crinkle!

It's good to note that on Wednesdays, not all of the Filipino snacks may be available since it's the first day of the week that the cafe is open. On Thursdays and on the weekend you get a better chance to have all the menu items available to you.

We have also tried the Pandesal which was more like a scone, not a fluffy brioche that we expected. You could choose jam and cream or a chicharon butter to go with the bun.

The Puto, a Filipino steamed rice dessert, was soft and delicious. This was served with coconut jam. We really loved this one.

With friendly staff and a nice selection of homemade Filipino treats, if you are visiting Paris or live in the city and curious about Filipino snacks, definitely check out the Filipino cafe Kapé! It's always great to support small businesses too.

Don't forget your snacks!

There is also a Filipino restaurant near the cafe called "Bobi Filipino Food" that we have yet to try as it was only open for dinner when we stopped by. The owners of Bobi actually also own the Kapé coffeeshop!
