Easter Time in Sweden

Decorating with twigs and colorful feathers is one Spring/Easter tradition here in Sweden. It's called "Påskris" or "Easter twigs". You can see beautiful, colorful feathers decorating store fronts and people's homes as you walk around the city. You can find these feathers at flower shops or even the grocery store!

The cobblestoned neighbourhood of Haga always has some nice decorations during the Spring.

Spring flowers start to bloom all over the city including beautiful tulips and of course the cherry blossoms :)

For Easter treats in Sweden, Paper eggs are used and filled with candy or toys.

Påskmust, a fizzy soda drink which reminds me a bit of cherry coke, is also available at Grocery stores during the Easter season.

One other Easter tradition is kids dress up as witches! And go house to house asking for candy similar to trick-or-treating on Halloween but on the Easter weekend!
