Mother's Day in North America is this Sunday, May 10th. Some moms like flowers others like snacks! Breka Bakery has cakes and shortbread cookies just for Mom.

They always offer many other snacks as well, which is why they are always quite busy whenever we visit.

Di Beppe Italian Cafe and Restaurant

An authentic Italian cafe and restaurant, Di Beppe is located in the Gastown area of Vancouver. 

On the cafe side, You can find Italian coffee and treats like cornetto and cookies. 

If you're hungry for more, there are sandwiches and pizza. On the restaurant side, you can find a full menu.

It's good to know Di Beppe is open until late for your snacks cravings.

There is some indoor seating at the cafe and it can get busy during the day, but many people also take their drinks to go. 

It's a nice cozy spot for a solo coffee or meeting friends. We enjoyed our Italian cappuccino and cookies. There is a lot to choose from, so we will definitely visit again.

C Market Coffee

We recently visited the newly opened C Market Coffee on Main St!

This modern cafe features both outdoor and indoor seating. A Korean-inspired cafe, you'll find menu items like Bulgogi bowls and Chicken burger on a black sesame bun. 

They offer pastries like almond croissants and vegan lemon loaves and seasonal cakes for those looking for something sweet. 

The "cake in a cup" is pretty popular!

They even have a gluten free rainbow cake 🌈 for those who are gluten free.

Hot and cold drinks include coffee and non-coffee options like the Iced Fruit Matcha! We tried the Mango Matcha and it was good.

The bright, spacious interior makes it a great spot for strollers or walkers. It's a great community space to go for a coffee break or a lunch meeting.

Staff were helpful with questions and takeout boxes are available to take your leftovers with you.

We enjoyed our visit and will be back to try more tasty treats.

Prado Cafe

What started with a single location on Commercial Drive, Prado Cafe now has 7 locations around the city of Vancouver. This neighborhood Cafe offers some snacks, treats and lunch options.

Of course, the cafe offers cold and hot drinks and there is often outdoor seating at their cafes.

Prado sells their own brand of coffee too.

If you're looking for a nice neighbourhood cafe to sit and relax, Prado is a great option!

Whisk Matcha Cafe

Whisk Matcha Cafe is Matcha Cafe location in the Mount Pleasant Neighborhood of Vancouver. Pastries and goodies are made by Level V Bakery!

This beautifully decorated Vegan cafe offers both sweet and savory items.

For the hot and cold drinks, you can choose oat or almond milk. The Matcha is delicious!

The cafe offers indoor seating and it's attached to the community centre which makes it a convenient place for a coffee or tea after an activity! 

We enjoyed our drinks and snacks and will be back to try more vegan treats.

Honolulu Coffee

With a few locations in Vancouver, Honolulu Coffee, offers Kona coffee and Hawaiian themed pastries.

The menu includes Hawaiian latte with Coconut and Macadamian Nut and Acai bowls and smoothies with different tropical fruits like mango and passionfruit.

There's other breakfast options and sandwiches ranging in price from $10 and up.

If you want an iced drink it's an extra charge. The same with alternative milk. 

Depending on the location, there may be outdoor seating as well. 

The cozy interior makes it a nice cafe to stop for a coffee break. Visit a Honolulu Coffee location to grab a snack or drink.

Nana's Green Tea

Nana's Green Tea is a Japanese cafe/restaurant not only offering Matcha drinks and desserts but Japanese food too.

You order on the kiosks at the front of the restaurant and can sit in or get takeout. If you need any Kiosk help, you can ask the staff (We had a little trouble removing items in our order).

Their Japanese Curry with Chicken Karaage was delicious.

The Beef Curry Udon was pretty good as well.

Had to try some dessert too and we ordered the Matcha soft serve and Black Sesame ice cream. It melted fast so next time we will order it after lunch is done.

For sitting in, you'll find one large share table and a few tables with bar stools. There are a few tables outside too.

The cafe/restaurant offers some pastries as well like their Matcha Croissant!

Whether you're looking to satisfy your Matcha drink craving, feel like some dessert or hungry for delicious Japanese Curry lunch, visit Nana's Green Tea!

Mercato Di Luigi Italian Cafe

With several locations around the city, neighborhood grocer and cafe, Mercato di Luigi, is a great place to stop for a coffee, snack or even lunch!

You can pickup cheese or slices of meat. The daily specials change so check with the staff.

You can order at the front then sit down and they'll bring your order to your table.

The Italian restaurant/cafe has a nice atmosphere with beautiful decor and friendly staff.

We enjoyed the little touches like a heart cookie served with the Cappuccino!

The dessert - like the Maritozzo was filled with cream to order. The same with the cornetto which was filled with Nutella!

Visit Mercato Di Luigi for some delicious Italian food and dessert! Their Italian coffee is perfect for a coffee break.

Hello Kitty Cafe Robson Street

If you're a fan of Japanese brand Sanrio especially Hello Kitty, this is a cool cafe to visit!

Located on the popular shopping street, Robson Street in Vancouver, the Hello Kitty Cafe is super cute and offers some sweet treats. The cafe's interior features Hello Kitty and a lot of pink. There are a few placess to sit for photos including this sofa by the entrance.

Of course, there are t-shirts, keychains, even umbrellas available for purchase at the cafe. Take home a souvenir or two.

Cute desserts and coffee/tea drinks (both hot and cold) are available.

There's a small seating area upstairs, but the cafe can get busy.

Whether you're a local or just visiting the city of Vancouver, this cute cafe is a must-see for Sanrio fans!

Catoro Cat Cafe

 

If you enjoy the company of cats but can't have a pet at home, a Cat Cafe is the perfect place to visit. Catoro Cafe in Vancouver has been around for about 6 years and provides a cozy place for the cats. 

The staff work hard to get the rescue cats ready to find their future families. They are knowledgeable about all the kitties, telling us about the cats preferences and personalities. 

You can book your 50min visit to the Cat Cafe on their website up to a month before your planned visit. Anything later and you can contact the cafe for help to book.

When you arrive, you can take shoes off and borrow one of the cafe's slippers. The staff will explain the rules and will show you around and give you a nice introduction.

The cats are usually adopted out after a few weeks, which means the cats you see during your visit will likely be gone if you visit the next month. 

The cafe, unfortunately, doesn't have snacks but they do have Bubble Tea, which you can order when you arrive! They will bring it to you inside the cat area. Just be careful to watch your drink. The cats can be curious!

There are cat toys to play with and some of the cats really enjoyed the attention. A few were sleepy and the staff will let you know which ones prefer to be petted only on their head or left alone entirely. 

Kids 5 and up are allowed in the Cat Cafe but they need to visit with an adult. 

The cafe also has some souvenirs at the front and hosts different events like movie nights!

If you're in need of some cat therapy, looking to adopt a new furry friend or just want to spend some time with the cats, visit Catoro Cat Cafe! We had a good experience and enjoyed our time with the cats!

Fresh Press Coffee Bar

Fresh Press Coffee Bar in Richmond, offers some good coffee, tea and snacks. 

Their baked goods selection is baked fresh in-house daily.

There is outdoor and indoor seating so you can sit in the sunshine 🌞 

The cafe staff can tell you about the menu and what's available, if it's your first visit. They recommended some specialities like their tiramisu and chiffon cakes.

The Strawberry Chiffon cake was fluffy and soft and the iced matcha espresso combo was delicious!

If you are in the Richmond area and want a place to sit for a nice coffee break, visit Fresh Press Coffee Bar.

Broye Cafe and Bakery

From Mochi croissants to Sanrio-themed sweet buns and cookies, Broyé is a great cafe for a coffee and cute snack! Just a warning, the snacks may be too cute to eat!

The mochi croissants or "Moissants" are pretty delicious and quite filling. 

This Vietnamese and Japanese fusion cafe also offers some lunch items like Vietnamese sandwiches, Banh Mi, if you're hungry for a bit more. 

Visit a Broyé Cafe location for your next coffee break and enjoy all the sweet and savory treats.

A-OK Cafe Aritzia Guildford Town Centre

Canadian retailer, Aritzia has opened it's first in-store cafe in BC, in Guildford Town Centre!

A-OK is the perfect spot for a coffee break to recharge after all your shopping!

Delicious croissants and sprinkled donuts are just some of the treats on their menu. Coffee and tea drinks like Matcha Latte are also available.

Take your drink and snack to-go or sit and rest in the cafe. 

Aritzia's A-OK Cafe has 10 locations all over North America but this is the first in-store location in BC.
