Offering delicious treats like Matcha cheesecake muffins and Ube loaf, Doe Coffee Roasters is a great spot for a coffee break.

We tried the location in the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood where they offer limited indoor seating. There are kids' seats available if needed.

Their coffee beans are available to purchase and enjoy at home too.

We had a lovely experience and the coffee was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Mon Pitou Bistro and Bakery

After our Afternoon stroll, we found ourselves at Mon Pitou Bistro and Bakery. This French bakery offers delicious snacks like Pain Au Chocolat, seasonal scones and cookies. 🍪 If you're hungrier they also have sandwiches!

The Bistro and Bakery offers both indoor and outdoor seating. On a sunny day, it's nice to get a breeze.

Mon Pitou also has some other food items like soup or granola you can buy to enjoy at home.

We had a lovely coffee break and will be back for the cappuccino!

Hello Robin Cookies

During our visit to Washington state, we visited the Bellevue location of Hello Robin conveniently located near the playground at Bellevue park.

Kids could play while one parent went for a walk and cookies break! Maybe even  bring a few cookies for the group to share.

This was a small location so unfortunately, no coffee or ice cream. There was, however, a good selection of cookies and a few drinks like milk to go with.

We tried the habanero chocolate chip which they mentioned was the owner's favorite. The spice was in the sugar which made it quite spicy.

Classic chocolate chip didn't disappoint and were a favorite!

They're currently trying out different flavors to see which ones people enjoy best. S'more cookies were 50cents more.

If you're around Bellevue or the Seattle area and caving some cookies for your picnic, playground time or next coffee break, visit a Hello Robin location! They were delicious!

Maple Bakehouse Cozumel

We enjoyed trying out Maple Bakehouse during our visit to the island of Cozumel.

Offering hot and cold drinks, breakfast items and pastries, there is always something delicious to choose from. 

A cozy cafe with indoor seating and a few board games. There was also a couple of outdoor tables.

Kids loved the cinnamon bun. The staff can explain what all the different pastries are if you have questions. You take a basket and select the pastries you want!

Whether grabbing some pastries to go or sitting in to enjoy breakfast, if you're visiting Cozumel, stop by Maple Bakehouse for some delicious treats! It's always nice to support local places.

Angus T Bakery and Cafe Yaletown

Located in the neighborhood of Yaletown, Angus T Bakery and Cafe offers a pretty nice selection of freshly baked French pastries with a focus on croissants!

There's everything from a classic croissant to savory croissants and of course, sweet croissants like the hazelnut chocolate.

It's definitely hard to choose just one!

We also saw a cinnamon bun and pain suisse during our visit.

While sitting in the cafe, you can even see the bakers hard at work making the croissants!

Coffee and Tea drinks are available and  with a croissant it's the perfect breakfast or coffee break!

Angus T Bakery and Cafe is a popular breakfast spot, but there is plenty of indoor seating including bar seating to see all the baking action.

Pablo Cheese Tart BC

***As of, end of day Dec 20th, 2025, Pablo Cheese Tart has closed permanently. The small business owner was injured in a car crash a few months ago and it's difficult for him to run the shop full-time. We are sad to see the cafe go but look forward to seeing what's next from Pablo's owner. 

Pablo Cheese Tart is a Japanese bakery cafe that has opened locations in Canada! Pablo offers authentic Japanese cheese tarts that are both crispy, fluffy and melt in your mouth. 

Try a classic cheese tart or a flavored tart like matcha, chocolate or creme brulee.

Coffee drinks like your traditional Cappucino or Latte along with Matcha bubble tea are available at the bakery cafe.

They also offer soft serve with unique flavors like cheese! 

Pablo Cheese Tart bake their tarts in-store daily so customers can enjoy something warm and fresh out of the oven! If you visit at the end of the day, you might be out of luck and the tarts could all be finished. So stop by early!

It's always great to discover new dessert, especially something that warms you up on a cold Autumn or Winter day. Pablo Cheese Tart was delicious, why not grab a few to share? We will definitely be back for another tart!

AVIK Cafe Vancouver

With a bright, modern interior, friendly vibe and delicious coffee and snacks, we enjoyed our visit to the new cafe, AVIK cafe in Vancouver! Rainy days are definitely for discovering new cafes and relaxing in a cozy spot!

There is plenty of seating indoors and there is space to bring a stroller in if needed, but check with the staff first.

Everything is baked fresh daily! Note: Not everything is available in the early morning.

Lunch options include salads and croissant sandwiches!

Alternative milk option, oat milk, is free of charge and you can choose which roast for your coffee.

Coffee break or "Fika" items like the Matcha cookie and butter croissant were available during our visit. The cookie was soft and delicious. The croissant was nice and flaky. 

Fully stocked during our weekday visit around 10am.

They also offer gelato! A nice treat especially with warmer weather on the way.

This cafe is open early and stays open till late. The perfect spot to grab a snack when you're craving it.

If you're visiting Vancouver, looking for an independent cafe offering some lovely snacks, tea and coffee drinks, visit AVIK Cafe.

Cobs Bread Vancouver

Making kids lunches is a daily ritual. The hot lunch program will be starting soon, so a few of the days we can skip the chore of lunch preparation.

Sandwiches are a favorite lunch option and bread from Cobs Bread in Vancouver is always a win. You can go in to buy a fresh loaf, and they can slice it for free. Choose thick slices or regular slices depending on your preference.

Cobs Bread always has some delicious items like scones, and savory items like cheese buns and pizza. The sourdough bread is delish as well.

Everything is always so fresh and you can smell the aroma of delicious bread down the street! Cobs Bread also offers seasonal scones like delicious Peach or Pumpkin scones. The pumpkin scones weren't sweet unless you chose the glazed pumpkin scone. 

If you're looking for a great bakery with freah baked breads and scones, open early, check out a Cobs Bread location.
