Notch8 Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Easter Brunch

Located in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 featured a lovely Easter brunch buffet with some delicious eats!

Notch8 Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Overall, service for our meal was pretty good. Once we were seated, the server gave us a little intro and explained which drinks were included with the brunch - bottomless coffee and juice. During the meal, they refilled the creamer for the coffee and took our finished plates away pretty quickly. Even the chef came out to ask if we had a nice meal!

Beautifully decorated buffet tables with flowers and Easter decor.

On the hot line were eggs, french toast and bacon among other things. There was also 2 prime rib stations. The cold buffet featured a few salads, cold smoked salmon, tuna, crab and shrimp.

The chef made a bacon free Caesar salad for us after we saw the main Caesar had bacon bits but it wasn't labeled. That was appreciated.

Notch8 Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Dessert offered everything from cake to crème brûleé and bread pudding. There was unfortunately nothing dairy-free except for the fruit. No jello or vegan cakes. However, it was helpful that the dessert was labelled with which allergens it contained and the staff was available to ask about the dessert as well.

The seating was only for 1h 45min but they didn't rush us out which was appreciated.

The restaurant unfortunately doesn't open for lunch on weekdays but the snacks section is available offering things like poutine, hot dogs and chicken sliders.

Use your Scene points card when purchasing food.

Alcoholic Drinks are available at the snacks bars as well. However, there is limited seating as opposed to the restaurant.

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

We stayed at the Atlantica Mikri Poli resort in Crete and it was an amazing experience. This family-friendly all-inclusive resort had a free children's club, nightly entertainment, pools and their own private area of the beach.

After arriving at the hotel and checking in at reception, you can re-hydrate with drink and snacks while waiting for the golf cart to take you and your luggage to your room (the resort is on a hill so it's a much appreciated service). If you stay at the main hotel building you can just take the elevators up.

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

Kids loved the slushies they could get at the snack bar! It didn't take long for them to see it was included.

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were efficient and even provided some panels on the kids beds so they wouldn't roll off.

For tired parents needing some relaxation, the amazing Aegeo Spa offers relaxing Cretan massages. The spa area also has a hot tub, saunas and pools.

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete
Sauna time needs to be booked for private use of the saunas.

The variety and quality of the food was great. We could always find something tasty at the restaurant. Kids always had something to eat. Staff were helpful with questions on allergies. Unfortunately, no dairy-free ice cream was available at the restaurant.

When it's hot out, the best is to cool off with a swim. At the resort, you can find 2 main pools, and an additional kids pool area and one for the water slides.

In the spa area, there are 2 additional pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The Spa pools however, are for 16 years and up.

Feel like a snack? There were 2 snacks bars, one by the main pool and one on the shops level. You could find, wraps, cakes, ice cream and an array of drinks.

On location there are also 2 shops and a fish spa. Hours vary.

Outside the hotel there are a few shops along the main street, for clothes, summer shoes, souvenirs, swim toys, and a couple of restaurants as well.

The hotel has a private beach with multiple sunbeds!

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

The Children's club had drop-off options from 10-12:30 and 3:00-5:30pm. Teachers spoke different languages from Polish, German, English, French and even Swedish.

Craft time, swimming at the kids area, and taking them to the hotel's private beach were among the activities!

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

Evening entertainment took place in the outdoor stage and consisted of games, music, comedy shows. Of course, it began with music and game time for the kids!

Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete

It's truly a wonderful place for a family or couples stay. If you're looking for an all-inclusive resort vacation that offers delicious food, an amazing spa, a private beach and pool time, check out the Atlantica Mikri Poli in Crete! You won't be disappointed.

Bacchus Restaurant Afternoon Tea

Bacchus Restaurant Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is a British tradition that involves enjoying a light meal of tea, sandwiches and scones and takes place in the afternoon between 3:30-5pm.

At Bacchus Restaurant you can experience an Afternoon Tea where you dine on dainty, crustless sandwiches, sweet treats, and scones.

Top the scones with marmalade, butter, cream or jam. We weren't fans of marmalade but the marmalade served was surprisingly delicious.

Bacchus Restaurant Afternoon Tea

The food is brought to your table after ordering the tea.

You can choose from a selection of black or green tea, some stronger than others. Just ask if you need more hot water.

We enjoyed the savories - the quiche and lobster tart were delicious.

Bacchus Restaurant Afternoon Tea

We had an enjoyable experience and we didn't get rushed out. You could pack up the last treats to take with you, finish your tea and they staff didn't come by to say how much time you had left, which was much appreciated.

Bacchus Restaurant Afternoon Tea

The cozy dining setting and seats made it hard to get up after our Afternoon tea. For families, we didnt see any kids during our seating so it may be a better activity to do when kid-free.

We will definitely come back to try it again! Afternoon Tea at Bacchus Restaurant will be back in April.

Dont forget your snacks!
