Lykke Stockholm

We visited Lykke in the neighborhood of Södermalm in Stockholm, Sweden to start our day!

Lykke Nytorget offers breakfast items, Swedish pastries, and drinks in a cool, bright setting. It's great to enjoy the outdoor seating area on a sunny day.

Lykke sustainable merchandise (bags, shirts and even coffee) is available for purchase in the cafe or you can shop online. Lykke is a Danish word for Joy and Happiness!

If you're looking for nice friendly service and a kid-friendly cafe, Lykke is a good option! There are babyseats and plenty of space for strollers in the cafe.

Lykke is the type of cafe where you can sit and relax or work remotely - look for tables marked that its ok to sit for working.

We really enjoyed our visits for fika at Lykke Nytorget. Definitely a cafe to visit if you're looking for a place to stop in Södermalm for good coffee and snacks!

Kanto Filipino Bistro New Location Vasastan Stockholm

We first tried Kanto Bistro when it was a pop-up location so we were excited to visit their new permanent location in Stockholm.

Located in the neighborhood of Vasastan, Kanto Filipino Bistro is the perfect place for a tasty dinner.

A great way to start the meal is with some appetizers! We decided on some egg rolls or Lumpia and fried chicken. There are a couple of sauces included like sweet and sour and vinegar.

For mains, we went with the Beef Tiyula, a flavorful curry dish, we wished it was served with more sauce but otherwise it was delicious!

We paired that with an order of the chicken pancit or fried noodles. This was served with lime and was a generous portion size perfect for sharing. 

For those with little ones, there is even a section of the menu listing kids dishes! 

For dessert, we tried the mango sago and ube cassava. The mango sago was delicious and the perfect Summer dessert. 

They were unfortunately out of the mais con queso, vanilla ice cream with corn and cheese but we will have to save it for next time.  

For drinks, Kanto Bistro now has a larger cocktail list. We tried Lychee & Jasmine Collins, and Red Horse beer.

The outdoor seating filled up after dinner started! It's wonderful to see how popular the restaurant has become!

We think our first visit to the new Kanto Filipino Bistro was even more enjoyable and the dishes were even more flavorful. Hopefully this unique restaurant featuring Filipino forward cuisine is here to stay. Filipinos all over Stockholm have only great things to say about it. If you're in Stockholm with a craving for Filipino food or dessert, visit Kanto Bistro!

Espresso House Sweden

Although, Espresso House is a Swedish chain coffeeshop, you can find some delish snacks and drinks!

Flavored seasonal coffee drinks that are not usually available at other cafes can be found here. So when I'm craving a Pumpkin latte in the Fall, or a Peppermint latte in the wintertime, I know Espresso House will have one!

Espresso house reminds me of another popular North American chain. It's a go-to cafe that's in subway stations, airports and train stations. Wifi is available and you can sit for a coffee break or some remote work.

Depending on the season, the menu could change slightly but you can always find your favorites. In addition to Swedish pastries like cinnamon buns, there are muffins, cakes and cookies for a sweet treat. If you're hungrier for lunch, you can find salads, sandwiches or wraps. Some sandwiches can be grilled and those are really tasty. A few Vegan-friendly options exist, just ask if it's not clearly labeled.

For coffee, alternative dairy-free milk is available. We've also noticed that the coffee is served hot. Often times in Sweden, you need to ask them to make it hot instead of warm.

With the Espresso House app you can order and pickup to takeaway or have it there. You also get different offers in the app. 

If you're in Stockholm and looking for a cafe to grab some food or fika, stop by an Espresso House. They are found all over the city and around Sweden too.

Tasty America Stockholm

Looking for some American-style snacks in Stockholm? Stop by a Tasty America location. You might even find some British and Japanese snacks too.

They offer seasonal snacks and box mixes for baking brownies or cakes. They even have macaroni and cheese!

Prices for these American snacks are a bit high but if you can't find it anywhere else it can be worth it.

There's also a huge variety of candy for those who like to try different candies.

BAK Cafe Stockholm

 

Located in the neighborhood of Hammarby Sjöstad, BAK Cafe, is the perfect place for remote work or just sitting for a coffee break.

This cafe offers a few outdoor seats and  pretty spacious indoor area.

The staff were nice and friendly and there were a few different  pastries available on our visit.

The cafe also offers breakfast from 7-10:30am.

The cafe's interior is spacious for strollers and larger groups.

Beautiful decor and nice ambience, BAK Cafe opened a few months ago and is a great addition to the cafes in the Hammarby Sjöstad neighborhood. 

If you're looking for a quiet place for remote work with delicious coffee and snacks, or a lovely cafe to sit for a tasty coffee break, visit BAK Cafe!

OmnOmnOmn Chocolaterie Stockholm

Offering delicious chocolates, pralines and even gelato, there is always something yummy to try at OmnOmnOmn Chocolaterie.

Stockholm's smallest chocolate shop is located in the neighborhood of Hammarby Sjöstad. We've always had friendly service. All of the chocolates are made right in the small production kitchen at the shop!

There are 8-10 different flavors of homemade gelato. The gelato and praline flavors change with the season. 

During the Summer, there are a few tables outside the cafe to sit.

If you're looking for a gift or something to treat yourself to, stop by this amazing chocolate shop. It's always great to support local small businesses!

Ritorno Konditori Etc Stockholm

With a few locations in Stockholm, Ritorno Konditori offers some delicious classic Swedish buns.

The cafe offers soft and delicious pastries. It really is tough to have just one. Order your favorite hot drink and it's the perfect Swedish Fika or coffee break.

Staff were friendly and the cafe has a lovely ambiance.

The location we visited was small with only a few tables indoors, but there is a larger location near Vasaparken.

Whether it's the classic cinnamon bun you're craving or another delicious bun, have a cozy coffee break or grab something to go, ay Ritorno Konditori.

Le Violon Dingue Stockholm

 

Le Violon Dingue or "The Crazy Violin" is a nice little cafe in downtown Stockholm located near Hötorget. This cafe may be tiny but it made a huge impression on us. They had amazing coffee and the pastries are delicious!

There so many different treats to choose from baked fresh daily.

The apple cake is really good!

This place is open from 7am on weekdays but only until 4pm. So get there early if you want a chance for some delicious fika!

They also offer sandwiches for lunch and soup in a cup so you can take it with you.

If you're looking for a nice little cafe for a Swedish fika, check out Le Violon Dingue. Take the fika with you or sit outdoors at the cafe to enjoy it.

Choklad Fabriken Stockholm

Chokladfabriken or the Chocolate Factory is a high quality chocolate shop with a couple of locations in Stockholm, Sweden.

It's a great place to find a delicious variety of chocolates gifts or a chocolate treat to enjoy with a coffee. You can find everything from coffee chocolate to licorice chocolate and truffles.

The location on Södermalm offers a soup lunch during the weekdays which includes cakes for dessert and coffee.

It's a cake buffet with a soup starter ;) The soup is always vegetarian.

It's also possible to order cakes or pickup one from the shop.

St Paul Bageri Stockholm

 

While strolling through Södermalm on the way to Slussen, you'll find St Paul Bageri. This is a great cafe to start your day. Grab a fika to go or sit and enjoy your breakfast. They are open daily and on weekdays they open at 7am.

Friendly service, nice ambience and a good selection of fresh breads and Swedish fika buns to choose from. They even have some Vegan options.

You can sit indoors or outdoors,  depending on the weather, to enjoy your coffee! 

The cafe is spacious enough to bring strollers in as well, but check with staff before.

Bubble Tea in Stockholm

We enjoy bubble tea and it's nice to be able to find it in Stockholm, Sweden! Being the capital city and much more international, you can find quite a few Bubble Tea places around. It seems like it's actually pretty popular here. When you're craving some Bubble tea in Stockholm, you have more than a few places to choose from!

We have tried Bubble Tea when we stumble upon shops in the city!

Oolong Tea House 

There are several locations in the city and they also offer snacks like cheesecake, mochi and onigirl.

Oishii sushi

A small mom and pop sushi restaurant in Nacka, a city just outside Stockholm, that also offers some delish bubble tea and tapioca balls! You can customize the amount of sugar.

Naicha food truck

We saw this popup truck at the Nobelberget Marknad recently! They had a few Vegan milk tea options as well as lactose-free and Oatmilk bubble tea too.
